2Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly

- Payment information: billing details submitted through our payment processor (LemonSqueezy). We do not store your full card number โ see Section 6
- Support communications: messages, emails, and any information you include when contacting our support team
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps when you visit our website
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on the site
- Device identifiers: anonymised identifiers used to understand general traffic patterns
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not monitor, log, or inspect traffic routed through your assigned IP address
- We do not collect browsing history, DNS queries, or connection metadata from your IP usage
- We do not purchase or receive personal data from third-party data brokers
3How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information only for the following purposes:
- To provision and deliver your IP address credentials to your registered email
- To process payments and manage your subscription billing
- To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- To send transactional emails โ order confirmations, receipts, renewal reminders, and service notifications
- To prevent fraud and abuse โ detecting misuse of our service or violation of our Acceptable Use Policy
- To comply with legal obligations โ responding to valid legal requests from Canadian law enforcement or courts
- To improve our service โ anonymised, aggregated usage analytics to understand how our website performs
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for behavioural advertising. We do not share your email with marketing partners.
4How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- LemonSqueezy (payment processor): to process your subscription payments. LemonSqueezy acts as the Merchant of Record for our products. Their privacy policy applies to payment data they collect.
- Email delivery providers: your email address is shared with our transactional email service solely to deliver order confirmations and service emails
- Legal compliance: we may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or lawful government request under Canadian law
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to equivalent privacy protections
5IP Address Assignment & Your Privacy
When you purchase a StableIP service, we assign you a dedicated residential Canadian IP address for your exclusive use. Here is what you need to know:
- Your assigned IP is dedicated to you alone โ it is not shared with other customers during your subscription period
- We maintain records of which customer is assigned which IP address for abuse prevention, legal compliance, and support purposes
- We do not monitor, record, or inspect the internet traffic you route through your assigned IP
- If we receive a valid legal request (e.g. court order) requiring us to disclose who holds a particular IP address at a specific time, we are legally required to comply
- Upon subscription cancellation, the IP address is returned to our pool and may be reassigned to another customer
Zero-Log Policy on Usage: We do not store logs of your internet activity, websites visited, bandwidth consumption, or connection timestamps from your IP usage. We only know that you hold a particular IP address during your active subscription.
6Payment Processing
All payment processing is handled by LemonSqueezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for StableIP.ca subscriptions. This means:
- LemonSqueezy collects and processes your payment card details โ we never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials
- LemonSqueezy handles all billing, invoicing, tax collection (including applicable Canadian sales taxes), and subscription management
- LemonSqueezy is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant
- Your subscription can be managed or cancelled directly through LemonSqueezy's customer portal

7Data Retention
- Active subscribers: we retain your account information (name, email, IP assignment record) for the duration of your subscription
- After cancellation: we retain your email address and transaction records for up to 7 years to comply with Canadian tax and accounting laws
- Support tickets: retained for up to 3 years for quality assurance and dispute resolution
- Website logs: retained for no more than 90 days and automatically deleted
- You may request earlier deletion of personal data not required for legal compliance โ see Section 9
8Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses a minimal set of cookies:
- Essential cookies: required for the website to function (session management, security). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: anonymised usage data to understand website traffic patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking scripts. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without affecting core website functionality.
9Your Rights Under PIPEDA
As a Canadian resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information under PIPEDA:

10Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

- Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
- IP credential delivery exclusively via encrypted email transmission

11Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
12Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
